Following today’s results on the final day of the Ladbrokes League 1 campaign, the ‘Loons’ have finished second in the league table, a magnificent achievement by Jim Weir, his management staff and players, especially when one considers our position back in October at the end of the first quarter of the league campaign.
Hearty congratulations to all.
This means that we head to Kirkcaldy on Tuesday evening of next week, the 7th of May for the first leg of the Championship Play-Off Semi-Final, the kick-off 7.45p.m. The second leg is due at Station Park on Saturday the 11th of May.
The Directors of Forfar Athletic have been to say the least delighted with the level of backing the manager and players have received both home and away in recent times and as such have decided to SUBSIDISE SUPPORTERS TRAVEL by coach to the game at Starks Park on Tuesday.
The cost to reserve a seat will be only £5 – yes ONLY FIVE POUNDS!!
The departure time from the Myre Car Park will be 5.30p.m.
Those on the coach to Methil this afternoon will already have had a chance to reserve a seat, so if you did so, no need for duplication.
Otherwise to reserve a seat text 07803208502 or email
The closing time and date at present for bookings will be Monday evening at 8 p.m.
Hopefully, despite the short notice, a large number of the Station Park faithful will make the effort to head to Fife on Tuesday evening by car or coach to give the players their backing as we continue our quest for a place in the second tier of league football in Scotland for the first time since 1992.
Further details in regard to both legs of the tie will be made available to supporters within the next 24/48 hours as they come to hand.
