Of The Loons
Firstly another pat on the back is due this morning to the Forfar Athletic supporters who turned out yet again in excellent numbers for the fixture with Clyde yesterday afternoon.
Sadly the fare on offer was a disappointment to all, but as they say the fight must go on!
Thanks also to Alpha Projects our match sponsor for the visit of the ‘Bully Wee’. This sponsorship was part of their major sponsorship deal with the club and gives us the opportunity to thank once again in print Paul Cortese and his fellow Directors for their tremendous backing of the ‘Loons’ cause. Their party chose skipper Stuart Morrison as their Athies man of the match.
Thanks also to all the groups who were in the hospitality lounges enjoying the Station Park Hospitality Experience, not for the first time it has to be said as far as all four parties are concerned.
The continued backing of Alan Davie Transport, Bill & Malloch Nicoll, Drew Wilson and his farming friends and the ‘boolers’ from the Canmore is as ever much appreciated.
Thanks also to Jane Rae and her party who occupied the table in the 1984 Lounge, celebrating Jane’s birthday into the bargain.
Finally a word of thanks to East Kilbride based optician and keen Forfar Athletic supporter Scott Brown our match ball sponsor on the day for his continued support.
Trips to Stranraer and Elgin are now on the cards for this coming week, Spartans the next visitors to Station Park on the 15th of the month.
