Thanks Again

Thank You
First and foremost today a thank you to Jim Weir, his backroom team and the playing staff for sending all of a ‘Loons’ persuasion home with a broad smile on their face after yesterday’s game with East Fife.
A well deserved three points on the day was the reward for an excellent all round team effort, the victory allied to results elsewhere putting us within touching distance of our survival as an SPFL club.
Hopefully that task will be completed over the next two weekends?
A huge thank you as well yet again to the home support who turned up in good numbers and gave Stuart Morrison and his colleagues such great backing from the stand and terracing.
There seemed at times yesterday to be a real bond between the fan base and the players and vice versa which has not always been evident, the reception the squad received on the final whistle heart warming and deserved.
Mention has also to be made of an excellent travelling support who made the journey over from Fife.
Moving on thanks to our match sponsor yesterday Orchard Timber Products, our long serving main club sponsor.
The Orchardbank based business have seen some managerial changes in recent times but still continue to back the club in superb fashion for what has now been an amazing nineteen years.
Their party yesterday could probably have chosen any one of the players in Sky Blue, but plumped for promising young defender MacKenzie Lemon as their Man of the Match.

Thanks also to the four groups within the main hospitality lounges on the day.
A party from Fiskens of Forfar were in the Doug Houston Lounge again as part of their overall sponsorship package at the club, backing which again is so vital to the ‘Loons’ and so appreciated from another ‘weel kent’ and respected local company.
Club Director Scott Barn had a party in the Ian McPhee Lounge celebrating a recent birthday under the banner of his business D&A Factors, another of our major sponsors. Happy birthday Scott and thanks again for the support.
The Archie Knox Lounge was occupied by John Hunter and his mates from Dundee on their annual pilgrimage. This group have been supporting the club for more years than they would care to remember in this fashion, again backing that is so welcome.
Also enjoying their day with us as ever in the Stewart Kennedy Lounge were another group of long standing patrons of the Station Park Hospitality Experience Dave McGregor and his fellow golfers from out Cunninghill way. Thanks again guys.
Finally to the 1984 Lounge and taking up the hospitality package therein was exiled ‘Loons’ fan Iain Hedley and his friends who travelled up from South of England augmented by a couple of ‘locals’ on their annual spring time visitation. All connected with the Athies are delighted that their long trip was rewarded with a victory, thanks again and ‘haste ye back.’
Two huge fixtures now lie in store for Forfar Athletic FC against the other two sides who sit alongside them in the lower reaches of the league table.
Douglas Park, Hamilton is the venue for next Saturday’s tussle with Clyde, before Bonnyrigg Rose are the visitors to the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park on Saturday the 19th.
