Thanks Again

Despite an injury setback or two along the way and a couple of debatable decisions going the way of the visitors, a depleted ‘Loons’ side picked up a welcome point against the league leaders Spartans at the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park on Saturday afternoon. To be fair the visitors did have the larger share of possession and chances over the ninety minutes but the grit and determination of Jim Weir’s side also shone through.
A big thank you yet again to the home support who gave their side superb backing throughout especially in the latter stages, lifting the players as tired legs became apparent.
Thanks again to S&S Joiners our match sponsors on the day. Steven Milne and Stuart Campbell have been great supporters of the ‘Loons’ cause in recent times and it was a pleasure to note how enjoyable their party found the fare both on the park and within the Sam Smith Lounge. The group made a popular choice of the embattled Angus Mailer as their ‘Loons’ Man of the Match.

All four main lounges were again full to capacity. Thanks especially to Lee Hutcheon who along with a group of football playing colleagues enjoyed the food, wine and ‘crac’ within both the Doug Houston and Stewart Kennedy Lounges. Their support in such numbers as ever most appreciated.
Club Director Robin Beattie had a party of mates within the Archie Knox Lounge and again from their after match reaction all enjoyed the complete package including the ninety minutes of on pitch action.
The Ian McPhee Lounge was occupied by a party from James Hair & Co Accountants in Cupar. The club’s Financial Director Raymond Hutt is a partner of the firm, ‘Loons’ captain Stuart Morrison also an employee and all connected behind the scenes at the club are most appreciative of the support received from the Fife based company throughout the calendar year. Thanks again to Raymond and his colleagues.
Finally Pauline Lindsay and a group of family and friends enjoyed the delights of the 1984 Lounge package, not for the first time, thanks again for the support.
Three away games now beckon, the next visitors to Forfar, Partick Thistle on Scottish Gas Scottish Cup duty on the 29th of November, further detail later in week in regard to admission charges etc for the tie.
